MSW Intern
The MSW Intern assists the Case Manager in the coordination of West Bay Pilipino Multi-service Center’s family service plan which includes counseling and case management, intake and referral, home visits, Tagalog translation, violence prevention and other support services for Filipino families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop own case management clientele and provide case management services to individuals and families on a daily basis.
- Complete and gather necessary documentation of services and collateral work provided to clients.
- Assist/co –facilitate various psychoeducational groups with school psychologist or case manager
- Work in a flexible environment that may include but are not limited to a school, office, and/or housing development.
- Conduct outreach activities to promote West services and to enroll clients in programs.
- Help organize, plan, and participate in other West Bay programs and activities as requested.
- Report directly to the Case Manager and/or the Executive Director.
Requirements:
Bilingual English/Tagalog
Enrolled in an accredited MSW program
Communications Intern
The Communications Intern will assist with the marketing and community outreach efforts of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with creating quarterly e-newsletters
- Assist with writing general donor correspondence such as thank you letters, invitations, and appeals
- Research and implementation of the latest technology trends in communication and social media for nonprofits
- Help organize, plan, and participate in other West Bay programs and activities as requested
Requirements:
Excellent writing skills and great attention to details
Technology savvy
Enrolled in college or new graduate
