FROM: West Bay Multi-Service Center Board Of Directors

SUBJECT: Executive Director Resignation

We regret to inform you that our Executive Director, Vivian Araullo, has officially tendered her resignation in order to accept another job. The Board of Directors has accepted her resignation. We thank Miss Araullo for her tremendous contributions and accomplishments.  During her tenure, she significantly increased the funding for student programs and created new positions for student tutors.

Vivian’s last day with West Bay is Wednesday, January 25, 2017. We’ll announce an interim director soon and the search for her successor has been posted at westbaycenter.org. The board chairman will act as the interim executive director until the position is filled.

A farewell note from Vivian:

“It’s been my pleasure to serve Filipino children, youth and families as executive director of this agency. I will be joining UAW to organize workers, and expect to sit on the San Francisco Labor Council in my capacity as a board director of the Asian Pacific Islander American Labor Alliance-AFL-CIO.  Please be assured that services for youth, families and seniors will continue as scheduled under the supervision of the Board of Directors. Thank you to all of you for your service to our Filipino children, youth and families. You have my admiration and affection.”

We thank you for your patient understanding in this transitionary period. On behalf of WBP Board of Directors we wish Vivian good luck and prosperity in her new endeavors.
